How Do I Schedule a Ride?

Your transportation needs are supplied through our partner, Medical Transportation Management, Inc. (MTM Health). Call MTM Health to set up a ride. They are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT. You can also sign up on the MTM Link Member Portal or download the mobile app (use the info below) to schedule a ride.

Please note that drivers can transport multiple members on the same ride. This should not add any more than 45 minutes to your travel time.

Call 911 if you need emergency transport. You do not need approval from BCCHP in the event of an emergency.

What Services Are Not Covered?

The plan does not cover rides:

  • For non-medical needs (examples: to go shopping or to visit a friend)
  • To see a provider who is outside our provider network (without special authorization from BCCHP)
  • To see a provider who is more than 65 miles away (without special authorization from BCCHP)

Non-Emergency Ambulance Services

BCCHP members should request non-emergency ambulance services through First Transit. First Transit is a prior approval vendor. They have partnered with the Department of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) to offer this service.

First Transit will ask questions to see if you qualify for this service. If you are eligible, you will then be given a list of ambulance providers for use. Once you have set up your ride, you will need to finalize your trip with First Transit. First Transit will ask questions to see if you qualify for this service.
