Life changes. If you missed 2025 Open Enrollment, you can still be prepared for the future with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. During the Special Enrollment Period, you may be able to enroll in a health insurance plan if you’ve gone through certain life changes.
Start by understanding the Special Enrollment Period and if you’re eligible to enroll.
We’re here to help make healthy living easier. As a BCBSIL member, you have access to member tools, resources and programs that offer discounts and rewards for healthy living.
Are you new to BCBSIL? You can create your secure member account with your member ID card and, in some cases your social security number.
Once logged in, you can review your coverage details, choose or update your primary care provider, help us get to know you by taking a short 8-question survey and more.
BCBSIL has strong provider networks that span the state of Illinois. Choosing an in-network provider for preventive care, like annual check-ups and some screenings, means you’ll avoid out-of-pocket costs. Use our provider search tool to find in-network care.
You'll have coverage for care like: wellness, maternity, newborn and pediatric, ambulance transport, emergencies, hospitalizations, labs, prescriptions, disease management, behavioral health, chemical dependencies, and rehabilitation services.
We have different plans offered at different levels to best meet your health and budget needs. Between HMO, PPO and POS plans with Gold, Silver and Bronze levels, you'll stay covered how you want.
Based on your plan, you will either pay a set amount (copay) or a percentage (coinsurance) of your drug costs after meeting your deductible.
